Joe diGenova, a former U.S. attorney and Independent Counsel, said the forthcoming report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz will be "condemning of senior DOJ/FBI officials" in their abusive handling of the Russia-Trump collusion matter, and that he is "100%" certain Attorney General William Barr will use the report to launch a "full-scale, criminal investigation" of the Justice Department and the FBI.
“Barr knows that the only way to have accountability and therefore to restore the credibility of the FBI and the Department of Justice and the CIA and the intelligence community is to have a full-scale, criminal investigation," said diGenova in an interview with Bill O'Reilly on No Spin News. "I believe he’s going to do that and I believe he will begin with the Horowitz report, which he will use as a fulcrum."
"The revelations in the Horowitz report are going to be awful," said diGenova. "They’re going to be condemning of senior DOJ/FBI officials."
At that point, O'Reilly interjected, "If that’s true, all Hell is going to break loose.”
DiGenova continued, "And Horowitz is going to recommend criminal referrals – quite a few of them, actually.”
When asked how certain he is that will happen, diGenova said, "100%."
